Guide · ZapDrop + iotPush

Know the moment someone takes your one-pager

A ZapDrop screen can push every scan to your phone through iotPush. Press Connect on the screen in your ZapDrop console, approve “Connect ZapDrop to iotPush?” once, and each visitor who takes your one-pager shows up on your lock screen while they are still at the booth.

The visitor's address is masked on your lock screen. Tap the alert to open that screen.

Set it up

  1. 1

    Install iotPush

Install iotPush on your phone (the iotpushr app on iPhone, or iotPush on Android) and sign in with ZapQR, the same account you use for ZapDrop.

  2. 2

    Press Connect

In the ZapDrop console, open the screen and press Connect.

  3. 3

    Approve once

Approve “Connect ZapDrop to iotPush?” on the ZapQR screen that opens.

  4. 4

    Done

iotPush creates a private topic for that screen and subscribes every phone on your account.

Why there is no API key

The two products are linked by your ZapQR approval, not by a key you paste. Nothing secret is copied between them, and the connected topic does not count against your iotPush topic limit.

Turning it off

iotPush Settings → Connected products lists every connection. Disconnect there, or from your ZapQR account page, and the next alert is refused at once. The topic and its history stay in your iotPush account.

Good uses

  • A booth with one person on it: you see interest arrive while you are mid-conversation.
  • A storefront screen after hours: you see which scans came in overnight.
  • Several screens at one event: each connects separately, so every alert names its booth.
